Tim Case is a songwriter from Wisconsin. Born and raised in Beloit to a public school teacher mother and a factory foreman by day/Pentecostal minister by night father, he discovered the power of music at a young age to evoke strong feelings while giving voice to life’s big questions. Following a move to Madison after college, he was a co-founding guitarist of alt-country outfit Ghost Town Council, sharing the stage with many nationally and regionally renowned artists during his time with the band. In 2010 he moved to the Chippewa Valley and, following a brief period – okay, a decade – of deliberation, launched a solo project with the 2022 release of the “Great Big Moon” EP, recorded over a long weekend with friend and former GTC bandmate Brian Knapp at The Dojo in Madison. As a solo performer he has been honored to share the stage with Erik Koskinen, Martha Scanlan, Jon Neufeld, Michael Gay, The Lone Canary, Andie Wyne, and many other talented singers and songwriters from around the upper Midwest and beyond. He lives with his wife and daughter in Eau Claire.

“Tim’s music is emblematic of the duality of the Midwestern landscapes he calls home — raw, and rolling–bleak and verdant–and at times as brooding and grey as a winter afternoon, but still laced with an optimism and an honesty that the seasons will continue on, both in life and in nature.” -Matthew R. Sayles (Philville Records, The Driftless Revelers)

“Songs and stories independently experienced but universally felt, with wonderful vocals and melodic riffs evoking the classic singer/songwriter tradition.” -Bob Wynkoop (Chippewa Valley Songwriters Circle)
